She asked me to Build Something

It's Jan 1 '08 and i thought what a good day to start a journal, sort of. So here it is. So, the subject of my first post...the big one to kick off a new year! My wife asked me to build something!... Now, that shouldn't come as a surprise to most of you who know me because i'm a contractor...and...i build stuff all the time, right? Well, usually the things i build aren't what she has in mind for me to build and so we end up butting heads until i finally finish it. I built a play table for the boys a while back and it was either too big, too small, too green, too heavy, or to weird. But, it turned out awesome and there it sits in the boys room getting used every day.

So I was surprised when she asked me to build something... some custom shelves for the boys room to organize the toys and books. Maybe she's being charitible and showing confidence in my ability to create what she has in mind. Let's just think positive! I'm sure i'll be back to follow this up when they are complete. Really this one should be a breeze because it was her idea. That's how it works, fellas.
